Andre Credit

About

A Houston resident and educator, Andre Credit has served as an administrator in several schools in the Houston Independent School District. In his current position as an assistant principal of Texas City Independent School District, Andre Credit draws on a student-centered philosophy to create a supportive culture that inspires all students, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or religion, to succeed. Previously, he worked as an academy leader with Dekaney High School, supporting the principal and other teachers in monitoring student attendance.

Andre Credit holds a bachelor of science in education from Alcorn State University, where he received a full athletic scholarship to play football and baseball. He then earned a master of education administration from Prairie View A&M and a doctor of education from Walden University. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership positions with The Pro-Vision Academy, the Barbara Jordan High School for Careers, and La Marque Independent School District.

To give back to his local community, he created a young men’s football and baseball league and coached various teenagers in the two sports.
